2021 Patio Trends: New Year, New Patio

2021 Patio TrendsWith 2021 just around the corner, some of you might be sitting down to write down your New Year’s resolutions. Whether it be goals with your work life, love life, or home life, it’s a great time to reflect and plan for big things in the coming year. Maybe those plans include a refresh to your patio or even a brand new look. Here are some of the 2021 patio trends to keep an eye on and consider when changing the look of your outdoor space.

Natural Materials
2021 patio trends will feature the use of more natural materials for outdoor furniture, like wood and wicker. Patioworld has a great selection of wicker furniture, as well as high-grade teak, which is kiln-dried to ensure the stability of the finished furniture in the harshest of climatic conditions. Teak is a dense, close-grained hardwood with high natural oil content. Teak is exceptionally hard-wearing, highly resistant to rotting, and is almost impervious to the effects of sun, rain, frost, or snow.

Color Scheme
An easy and inexpensive way to change up the look of your patio is with a splash of color. New pillows or cushions can give your patio a facelift and 2021’s trend is warm and inviting colors, like brown, taupe, golden yellow, red, and olive green. Not only can you use the colors in your cushions, but if you are looking for a bigger change, consider updating the color of your front or back door to your home or even staining your concrete or repainting your deck.

Functionality
And finally, with many of us being at home now for 10+ months, you want to utilize that outdoor space as much as possible and make it comfortable for you and your family. One way is to make sure you have comfortable patio furniture, like a sectional outdoor sofa or ergonomic patio chairs. Another option is to add features to your patio area, like an outdoor kitchen, truly making the space like another room in your home.

As 2020 draws to a close, we are optimistic about what the New Year will bring.

From all of us at Patioworld, we wish you a healthy and Happy New Year!
