The benefits of outdoor play are numerous; physical benefits such as improved motor skills, muscle strength, and overall health and emotional benefits like self-esteem and self-expression. You cannot deny all the good that comes from kids getting outside and playing.

Put on a Show
If you have a deck on your patio, you’re already halfway there to being a star! Have your kids use the deck as a stage, and write a script, create costumes, draw and paint scenery, and star in their own show.
Yard Games
It’s hard to find someone, of any age, that doesn’t like yard games. One of our favorites is spike ball, a game that is a great way for your kids (and you!) to get exercise and work on hand-eye coordination. Spike ball is perfect for the backyard, fun for all ages, and easy to transport. Old yard game favorites such as bocce ball and cornhole are always a big hit as well.
