Patio Furniture Pros and Cons

The world of patio furniture is wide and vast. In that world there are numerous pit falls you want to avoid.  So, what are the patio furniture pros and cons that you need to keep an eye out for?

A good place to begin your search for patio furniture is with pros and cons of what it’s made out of. There are several different materials that patio furniture is constructed with. Let’s take a look at some of the Patio furniture pros and cons categorized by their materials.

Wicker

Cons: Wicker doesn’t weather very well, but it can look great.  Wicker is a great material if you’ve got a space protected from the elements.

Pros: Wicker’s very easy to dress up with cushions to add a pop of color or pizzaz to your patio. It’s also a lightweight material that’s easy to move around and change arrangements to match the occasion.

Plastic

Cons – Not as durable as some of the other materials out there like teak or iron. It will fade and crack faster and may not support a lot of weight.

Pros – It’s inexpensive. Meaning that you can switch out your patio furniture every year for a reasonable price. It comes in all different styles and colors. There are even styles that replicate other patio furniture materials.  It’s another great lightweight option if you like to rearrange your space regularly.

Wrought Iron

Pros – It can be the most stylish of the lot. It looks great and can add a whimsical air to your outdoor living space. It’s also sturdy and if cared for properly, it can last a very long time.
